Let me start with something most finance websites would never admit:
I don’t have a finance degree. I’m not a certified financial advisor. And until a few years ago, I had no idea what a P/E ratio was.
It Started Long Before the Stock Market
I’ve always believed in investing. Just not the way most people think about it.
Before I ever bought a single share, I had already invested thousands of hours into things that shaped who I am — my education, my athletic career, years of competitive bowling that taught me discipline, consistency, and how to perform under pressure.
Every hour I spent training, every sacrifice I made, every skill I built — that was an investment. The return wasn’t measured in euros. It was measured in who I became.
That mindset — that investment is not just about money, but about the deliberate allocation of your most valuable resources: time, energy, and attention — is the foundation of everything you’ll find on this site.
My First “Real” Investment: A Lesson in Humility
The summer of 2022 changed things.
Like many people, my first encounter with financial markets came through crypto. I put €300 into eToro and another €250 into Kraken. I watched the numbers. I didn’t really understand what I was doing — but I was doing something, and that felt like progress.
Those €550? They’re now worth around €400. Still sitting there. A reminder that enthusiasm without knowledge is expensive.
But that same summer, I made a different kind of move.
I found a property in Heraklion — a small apartment listed at €40,000. Something about it felt right. I bought it, renovated it, and today it generates €600 per month in rental income and is valued at over €150,000.
Same period. Two very different outcomes.
The difference wasn’t luck. It was understanding what I was investing in.
The Stock Market: Starting Over as a Beginner
In the winter of 2025, I decided it was time to take the stock market seriously.
I started where most careful beginners start — ETFs. Simple, diversified, lower risk. I opened accounts on DEGIRO and SAXO and kept things boring on purpose. I needed to learn the language before I could have the conversation.
35% of my portfolio still sits in VUAA — a S&P 500 ETF that lets me sleep at night.
But as I learned more, I got bolder. Today my SAXO portfolio has over 17 active positions — a mix of high-risk/high-reward plays like Enlivex, SoundHound, and Redwire, alongside established names like Micron, Vertiv, and TSMC. I also hold positions in MicroStrategy and CleanSpark — my way of getting Bitcoin exposure without holding Bitcoin directly.
I’ve traded on Freedom24, Revolut, Nexo. I’ve navigated confusing onboarding processes, platform errors, and moments that would have scared off most beginners.
And through all of it, one thing kept frustrating me:
Nobody explained any of this in plain English.
The Problem With Finance Content
Search for almost any financial term and you’ll find one of two things:
Either a wall of academic jargon that assumes you already have a finance degree — or a YouTube thumbnail promising you’ll “make $10,000 a month with this one trick.”
There’s almost nothing in between.
No one talking to the person who is smart, motivated, and genuinely wants to understand — but finds the world of finance feels like skydiving without a parachute.
That’s the gap I wanted to fill.
Why I Built This
I’ll be honest with you — because I think you deserve honesty from the very first sentence.
I built AF Core Global because one day I want to stop trading 8 hours of my life every day for a salary. I want financial freedom. I want to work because I choose to, not because I have to.
But I didn’t want to build just another affiliate site that throws links at you and disappears.
I wanted to build something that gives back more than it takes.
Because here’s what I’ve learned after years of investing in myself, in property, in stocks, and in crypto:
Money alone doesn’t make you happy. But the freedom that comes from using money wisely — the freedom to spend time with the people you love, to pursue what matters, to stop surviving and start living — that changes everything.
That’s what this site is about.
Not get-rich-quick. Not complex strategies for Wall Street professionals.
Just honest, clear, human explanations of how money works — so you can make better decisions for your own life.

A Final Word
If you’re reading this and you feel like the world of finance is not for you — too complicated, too risky, too intimidating — I want you to know something:
I felt exactly the same way.
And I still have days where I don’t understand everything. Where I look at an options chain and feel completely lost. Where I question every decision I’ve made.
But I keep going. Because the alternative — staying financially dependent, working forever for someone else’s dream — is far scarier than any market correction.
Welcome to AF Core Global.
Let’s figure this out together.
